This from a report on MSNBC…Bandeirante University published advertisements accusing Arruda of attending class with “inadequate clothing” and having a provocative attitude that was “incompatible with the university environment.”

Arruda made headlines last month when she had to be escorted away by police after she tried to go to class wearing the mini-dress. She put on a professor’s white coat and left amid a hail of insults and curses.

Video of the Oct. 22 incident was posted on YouTube and picked up by Brazilian networks. Arruda has since appeared frequently on TV, saying she is struggling to return to normal life after being humiliated, so this action by her this week on the campus, is obviously her attempt at changing the policy at her campus.

It is designed to be a protest for her cause.

The university claims to have an “Educational Responsibility,” in sees it as their role to police the clothing of students.

They claim to have decided on the expulsion after interviewing her fellow students on the campus.

The accused her of posing for pictures that are provocative, and lowering the moral standards of the university.

I find policies that govern dressing for students to be more of a distraction than helpful. The students in college are adults, and if the clothing does not violate the law governing public decency, or in this case indecency, then I think they should choose another battle.

I think the larger issue is why men are so out of control when we see a provocatively dressed young woman.Some men loose all sense of good manners when confronted by a mini-skirt, or at the sight of a human nipple.

I think if we had more provocative dressing in our society, then it would lose its distinction of being provocative.

As it stands now, I can only view this action against Arruda in a country that has made its reputation out of being a fun and sexy place to visit, as pure hypocrisy,plain and simple.

Arruda said she learned of her expulsion through the news media and had not received official notification.

Let’s hope that those in control of this situation reverse this action, and come to a compromise with all parties involved.

I am certain there are more pressing issues to attend to, other than policing how a young woman decides to dress to a class that she has paid to attend, as long as she is not in violation of the student code of conduct that is spelled out in the student handbook at most colleges and universities.

We all should resist championing policies that are favored by the Taliban.

Zensursulas Liebe ist nicht für alle da: Rammstein Platte kommt auf Index

Je nachdem wie weit man den Begriff Fan fasst, bin ich Rammstein-Fan. Ich habe alle Studioalben der Band und höre diese sehr gerne. Gestern Abend hat mich eine Meldung daher sehr geschockt: Die neue Rammstein-Platte „Liebe ist für alle da“ wird indiziert. Das melden unter anderen laut.de und Welt-Online. Die Konsequenzen aus der Indizierung: Kein Verkauf mehr an Minderjährige, Verkauf generell nur „unter der Ladentheke“ und keine öffentliche Werbung mehr. Der Antrag, den die Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien bestätigte, kam angeblich von Familienministerin Ursula von der Leyen oder zumindest aus ihrem Ministerium, was den Spitznamen „Zensursula“ weiteren Aufwind geben dürfte.

Was am Album konkret ausgesetzt wird, ließen Rammstein auf Facebook verkünden. Dort hieß es am Donnerstag um kurz nach 22 Uhr:

Urteilsspruch: Das neue Rammstein Album ist auf Antrag des durch die Ministerin von der Leyen geführten Bundesministeriums indiziert worden und wird zukünftig lediglich unter der Ladentheke zu haben sein. Volljährige sollten ihren Ausweis nicht vergessen und dann beim Händler ihres Vertrauens nachfragen

Wenig später folgten weitere Informationen:

Dank meines Studiums habe ich mit Medienrecht zu tun. Und so weiß ich, dass im Artikel 5, Absatz 3 unter anderen die Kunstfreiheit enthalten ist. Diese ist, entgegen zum Beispiel der Meinungsfreiheit ein schrankenloses Recht. Es darf somit nur eingeschränkt werden, wenn ein anderes Grundrecht verletzt wird. In diesem Falle werden wohl die Menschenwürde (Artikel 1) sowie das Recht der freien Persönlichkeitsentfaltung (Artikel 2) herangezogen, die den Jugendschutz begründen. Doch selbst dann muss eine Güterabwägung stattfinden, was bedeutet, dass die Verletzung deutlich sein muss. Ist sie das? Ich finde nein.

Das kritisierte Bild ist in meinen Augen recht harmlos. Es wird angedeutet, dass der entblößten Frau auf den Hintern geschlagen wird. Das ist sicherlich nicht die feine Schule, aber es gibt in unserer „Sex-sells-Kultur“ bei weitem schlimmeres. Der Liedtext zu „Ich tue dir weh“ ist so überzogen, dass ihn keiner ernsthaft als Aufruf zu S/M-Praktiken verstehen kann. Darauf weist auch Bandmitglied Christian „Flake“ Lorenz im Interview mit der BamS hin. Er sagt:

„Für wie dumm halten diese Leute eigentlich unsere Fans? Oder meinen sie im Ernst, irgendjemand sieht das als Aufruf, in den Baumarkt zu gehen, eine Rolle Stacheldraht zu kaufen und einer Frau durch den Harnkanal zu ziehen?“

In meinen Augen der größte Witz ist die Prüfungsgremiums-Kritik am Text von „Pussy“. Hätte man kritisiert, dass hier zu viel von Sex die Rede ist, hätte man darüber diskutieren können. Der Einwand, dass zu ungeschützten Geschlechtsverkehr aufgerufen wird, ist jedoch mehr als lächerlich. Schließlich singen Rammstein nirgendwo im Lied, dass nicht verhütet wird oder nicht verhütet werden soll. Das Thema wird nur einfach nicht erwähnt. Aus dem laut Rammstein dem Lied entgegengebrachten Einwand muss man aber schließen, es wird verlangt, dass nur ein solcher Liedtext ok gewesen wäre: „You’ve got a pussy / I have a dick / So, what’s the problem / Let’s do it quick / but with a gummi“

Frühere Rammstein-Texte waren inhaltlich nicht groß anders, wurden jedoch nicht indiziert. Auch in „Rein raus“ ging es um (nicht explizit als verhütet bezeichneten) Sex, „bück dich“ geht ebenfalls in die Richtung S/M. Was ist nun anders? Liegt es etwa wirklich, wie Rammstein indirekt behaupten, an der aktuellen Führung im Familienministerium? Was einige Fans von den Praktiken der Indizierung heutzutage halten, demonstriert folgender Kommentar recht gut, den ein Fan auf der Facebook-Seite Rammsteins hinterlassen hat: „Im Grunde muss man den Leuten ja sogar danken, denn eine Indizierung ist ja heutzutage nichts weiter als ein Gütezeichen. ‘Hier ist etwas, das nicht der Norm entspricht‘.“

Wie ich bereits erwähnte, steht die verfassungsrechtliche Grundlage für diese explizite Indizierung durchaus auf dünnen Eis. Ob jedoch Klage eingereicht wird, ist bislang unbekannt. Bis zu einem Urteil würden viele Monate vergehen. Im bereits weiter oben erwähnten (lesenswerten) BamS-Interview deutet der Rammstein-Keyboarder jedoch zumindest sein Unverständnis gegenüber dieser Auslegung von Artikel 5 an. Er sagt:

„Ich spreche darauf an, dass in der BRD angeblich Meinungsfreiheit herrscht. Aber wenn sie so aussieht, dass Nazis unbehelligt „Ausländer raus“ brüllen dürfen, aber unsere Platte hingegen aus dem Verkehr gezogen wird, dann sind wir nicht viel weitergekommen.“

Dieses Statement kann ich nur unterstreichen!
